More structure - and some drama: Bette baths in matt black

Baths in black look elegant and develop an almost monolithic effect. Bette is now offering many of its freestanding baths in an elegant matt black.

In fashion, photography and architecture, monochrome black is used as a stylistic device: black makes silhouettes and structures stand out more clearly and creates clarity, with a touch of drama. This also applies to bathrooms, where more and more bathroom products, such as fittings, washbasins and even entire bathrooms are created in matt black. Now Bette has added freestanding baths in matt black.

Delbrück-based, Bette, is offering matt black in its freestanding BetteLux, Bet-teStarlet and BetteArt collections, many of which also offer wall and corner vari-ants. Made of glazed titanium-steel, with large flawless surfaces, these baths almost look like graphic elements in the bathroom. The matt black surface called "ebony" helps the baths to develop a monolithic presence.

Staging matt black in the bathroom

There are two ways of setting the stage for a matt black freestanding bath: either in a subtle tone-in-tone design or in an effective black and white scheme.

In a black bathroom, the individual elements fade into the background in favour of the room architecture and clear structures, with the matt black bath integrated into the overall picture. If it is staged in a white bathroom, this impression is reversed: the bathroom becomes a stage and the bath a key player.

The advantages of the glazed titanium steel also come into their own in matt black: the robust material forgives small mishaps and even a burning candle on the edge of the bath. With its glass-hard surface, it offers dirt and bacteria virtually no breed-ing ground and is easy to keep clean. As the glaze is UV-resistant, it also ensures that the elegance of the matt black colour remains unaltered over the years.
